WORKSHOP FOR A PARENT & DAUGHTER (Age 9-15)

About Latinitas Workshops:

Latinitas Austin is offering a series of Saturday workshops for girls ages 9-15 and a family member. Parents/guardians (grandparents or other caretakers too!) and their daughters are invited to learn about new technologies and media careers! Latinitas Workshops are conducted in Spanish and English by a Latinitas workshop facilitator and incorporate cultura y arte to encourage media literacy for girls and their family members. A bonus workshop for girls and boys allows for hermanitos or a primo to learn media through the Latina lens as well!

About Latinitas:

Latinitas enables young Latinas to achieve personal and academic success through media and technology. We publish Latinitas Magazine, the first digital magazine made for and by Latina youth, and host media enrichment programs to help girls learn how to build confidence and discover their voice.
